The mixing bowl can be closed with a lid, so you can easily place the bowl in the refrigerator.
With the 3 different graters, the bowl can also be used for cutting vegetables or cheese.  Because the graters fit exactly on the bowl, there will be no scattering effect from the grating process. The bowl and graters are made of stainless steel and can therefore be cleaned in the dishwasher.
